Sausalito Art Walk Info
Sausalito Art Walk is presented by the Sausalito Arts Commission who's mission is to promote the local art community. The event brings a larger representation of Bay Area artist's work to Sausalito. It's Bay Area artists, talents, flavors and colorful characters. Over 20 participating local merchants getting together, with dozens of artists from every discipline imaginable.Art Walk is a non- commercial event that provides local artists a platform to exhibit their accomplishments.
It is also an opportunity for collectors to find that gem, that will make your space more beautiful. What's more, you won't have to take out a second mortgage to make a purchase.You will also find many "easel artists" creating along Caledonia Street, giving people a chance to see a master at work.
There is large presence of live music with several acts playing every month, in every genre imaginable. Musicians are encouraged to experiment, which may lead to some interesting collaborations. Everything from Jazz, Folk, Alternative Rock, Blues, Bluegrass Celtic, Classical, hip-hop, Bee-Bop and Bossa Nova and Samba is performed at every Art Walk.
There are artists, performance artists, live music, it's a real happening. Walk through scenic, seaside Sausalito, meet artists, rub shoulders with colorful characters, take in the view and enjoy entertainment suitable for all ages.
Olivia Voss and Brian Brunt, Belting out their own brand of "Indie Folk Rock." They were a fixture at Art Walk from March through June.

We always have entertainment for children.
These performers are not just fun for kids, they add to the Bohemian flavor of the event. Check our kids page (click here) for the entertainment line up for each month. Children's appearances this season have included Juggler David Hunt, POPO the Clown, Harvey Rabbit, Brian Asman, Tammy Artis and EB McHenry. Sausalito Art Walk is fun for the whole family.
Soon we will adding art activities for kids as well as exhibits by aspiring youths.
Art Walk has been expanding the disciplines represented. Another unexplored medium has been literary works. In August EB McHenry>, children's author and illustrator, will be reading passages from her children's book "Poodlena." She has a multi-media presentation to compliment her presentation, which is it's an interactive experience for any spectator. Not only is this addition broadening the event to include literary art, but covers several different mediums, in an interactive package.

Stanley Mouse>, famed Rock and Roll artist made a guest appearance during 2007's season. He was painting on an easel on Caledonia Street. He was painting like all the other artists along Caledonia and not making his presence known. He was just being a part of the scene. It was honor to have such an icon at our event, lending his support to our cause. A special thanks goes out to Stanley for being a part of our grass roots art happening.
Neal Barbosa has made several appearances during the 2007 season. He is featured in our Sausalito Art Walk promo video with the band Pleasuremaker (Click here for our promo video>). Neal will be appearing again September 12th at Sausalito Art Walk.
Even dogs love Art Walk. Pets can enjoy quality time with their owners at every event. There is something for everyone at Art Walk and that includes "Napoleon." When asked what he thinks of Art Walk, he said woof, which literally translates to "Art Walk rules!"
Come for the art and entertainment and stay for dinner. There are two sushi bars, two Italian eateries, two thai restaurants, an Indian food restaurant, a wine bar, a movie theatre, Jazz music and even authentic Tango music from Argentina.
