Robert 'Robke' Zhimantas Robert was born in Lithuania
into a family of classical musicians and went to music school to
study piano. After coming to the USA , Robert developed an interest
in flamenco guitar and studied extensively with Dona Reyes, co-founder
of the Flamenco Society of San Jose , as well as other flamenco guitar
masters such as David Serva and Paco Arroyo. Robert has played at
various venues throughout the San Francisco Bay Area . Since 2004,
Robert has served as the musical director of the Bay Area Center
for Flamenco. His primary focus is in composing original music, both
for solo guitar as well as for collaboration with dancers and other
musicians from various disciplines.
