Sausalito Art Walk is in the headlines
again... about the service of alcohol. With all the
wonderful art music, family friendly entertainment, and our
community building efforts, you figure there would be an end
in sight to the actions that continue undermine our progress.
This is not this first time Art Walk has been targeted. Back
in 2003 the ABC sent out their storm troopers threatening merchants
with hefty fines. At least this time merchants were offered
a "courtesy letter," even if it was less than courteous
that it was distributed moments before the September event.

What is Sausalito Art Walk?
Art Walk is the antidote to the lack
of local representation of San Francisco Bay Area artists'
work. We offer opportunities for resident artists
to showcase their talent, in an environment that offers too
few options for these artists to highlight their accomplishments.
It is a meeting ground for members of our community to rub
shoulders with their neighbors and mingle with colorful characters.
It is a place for like minded, individuals to network
and meet others who are passionate about the arts. Art Walk
offers entertainment that is enjoyable for all ages, including
performances and art that appeals to children. There is something
for everyone at every Sausalito Art Walk.
So when people hear that Sausalito is an "artist's
enclave," they no longer have to wonder "where are
the artists?" They
need look no further than Sausalito Art Walk where they are
represented in full force, creating on easels along Caledonia
Street and exhibiting at participating venues during each event.
